For those times when you go in for a beer but walk out with an alcoholic popsicle, Woven Water takes their Fusion mindset to Dekkar brewers for a fruit cocktail of a beer that's more smoothie-like than anything known to the beer world.
Laced with peach, prickly pear, guava, cream of coconut and vanilla ice cream, Gloop City Fusion hits the glass with an oddly colored peach, pink, sandy and milky appearance before caldering at the rim with citrus and cream melange that gloops pretty well. Getting past the nauseating appearance, the taste is fruity and sweet, leading with sweet cream, honey and fruit sodas.
As the fruit additions of peach, guava, coconut and pear swirl in a soft and fruity fashion, these flavors add a somber and calming taste that balances the underlying tartness of lime, lemon, green apple and white grape before trailing into a melon-like simple sweetness coated with vanilla and cream.
Sweet, smooth and rounded, the ale is a smoothie session with just enough alcohol to make it worthwhile. Its a great ale for those times when you wanted a carbonated mix of milk and pepto bismol.
