Poured from 330mL can into a tall kitchen glass. Best by 2/3/23.
Appearance: rich brown hue with just a little bit of light let in around the edges. Head is a finger of frothy tan foam that could stick around a bit longer.
Smell: nice chocolatey around with a little bit of toffee and a hint of hops. It's balanced and enticing.
Taste: there's some sweetness up front, but it's not too much, followed by a nutty, caramelly, and toffee malt character. There's a little chocolate, too, but it's not as pronounced as in the aroma. A reasonable bitterness rounds things out -- a pretty solid porter!
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: a totally solid porter, and one I'd be glad to have again.
