I had this beer on-tap in a stemmed glass from the Vaskakas booth at the Budapest Downtown Beer Festival.
Appearance: dark golden hue with a light haze and a thick head is creamy eggshell foam.
Smell: malt is dryish with some caramel character and some rather herbal hops. Kind of autumnal — not too bad.
Taste: toasty malt with kind of maybe an oxidized thing going on? It’s minor but not ideal. Hops are herbal and a little on the bitter side.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: this beer kinda just rubs me the wrong way. Not awful, but certainly not my favorite.

This is quite a good American IPA from Hungary - and it is not even from a major micro brewery, I have never even heard of Vaskakas?
Looks very intense and dense, dark gold with an amber hue. Aroma reaches its peak when warms up a little, tropical and fruity, peaches. Same with the taste, although it has more zesty bitterness to it as well.
Altogether I found it very satisfying, found nothing against it. It can very easily be the best Hungarian - if not THE best overall - IPAs I had in 2024! Was truly a good find!
