Look - Pours a very dark blackish brown color, with almost no head that immediately disappears.

Smell - A light scent of rye, bourbon, dark fruit, and toffee.

Taste - Rye whiskey. Not one of my favorites for barrel aging, plus I'm not a fan of double barrel aging in general, but it's decent.

Feel - The 17.4%ABV is very well hidden, though it leaves a slight rye whiskey aftertaste.

Overall - I'm not as impressed with this as I am of Private Press's other beers. Probably because I'm not a huge fan of rye whiskey or double barrel aging.

A: An uncapped transfer with a dark purple tinge, while Byzantium highlights circumference. The discharge branches a khaki collar at around .10 dm, which narrows to a .05 dm over 4 ds. This output transposes a dark coffee brim, which clings based on a provoking level thru tension + moisture. All the while, segregation takes place per the progressed seconds, which nix at an interval nearing > 1.5hr. At this point, the viscosity to ethanol acceptance has competently shifted, for providing the monastery window webbings

S: A phenolic aldehyde adeptness, for drilling complex polymers across the diastatic enzyme conversions. An inaugurating footing that is consistently pushed through Celius attainments, while the lupulin effects provide a geometric pillar. In this instance, the starch fractions are competent in coalescing with the hemicelluloses, for personifying Frangipane aside sticky toffee pudding. A development that turns towards sun-dried mariposa plums, when detailing mission figs. All the while, 5-Methylfurfural subject lines the middle, when amplifying Celius (> 25°), and plunging salted caramels above maple glazed dates. The drying per oxidation is enforced over the 8oz draw, where enflamed actions engulf old leathers beyond the collapsed mosquito beds

T: The carbohydrate degradations, besides the hemicellulose makeups, provide an elaborate trek with an oak lactone grace. The hop effects provide a colophony stability to the lipid saccharifications, as the hour(s) are pushed with a eugenol to guaiacol acceptance. Sequentially, the path draws on wooded planks, while enforcing vanillin staves around air-cured tobacco. A movement that is calm to address the undertones, of dried apricots + red fruits & scorched Model T’s. Notwithstanding, a Hine Antique resemblance, for charging the aftermaths with a cognac persona to the spirited Rye Casks

M: Overtly smooth with smart – polyphenol – compounds in the peripheral, which elongate the cessations per the advanced attenuations. An inebriant class that does not burn, but is rather aiding to the calm ebullitions, as they are weeded out. Thus, a silky dexterity to the leathery, dry postscripts

O: An oxidative enforcement to push the boundaries and expose the Rye Cask habituations. A patience that stretches an uncapped to corked transfer across 3hrs, form an 8oz allocation. One that incites the starch-to-sugar conversions, by way of the vatted depths, while maintaining a hop cognizance around the wort compositions
