Cayambe is an Imperial Stout conditioned on house-toasted coconut and cocoa nibs from Ecuador and Ghana. The coconut and cocoa nibs enrich the base beer to offer a candy bar-like drinking experience. It's a decadent stout that can be enjoyed year-round. We find it perfect for a nightcap near the bonfire or snuggled up next to the fireplace during a snowstorm. We hope you enjoy this beer as much as we enjoyed brewing it for you.

A- Pitch black bodied brew from the 16oz can. The head is a cocoa tan brown and the foam layer has a creamy texture and nice retention. Tattered webs of lacing coat much of the glass.
S- Impressively well balanced aroma considering all of the bold players being presented in this one. The coconut and cocoa have a slight edge but they are quickly balanced off by the rich roast grains. Nuttiness, vanilla sweets, milk chocolate, roast barley and that classic oily toasted coconut vibe. Can't help but think of Samoa cookies for a second but so much more than that here with the robust stout base.
T- Again, big individual flavors all folded into a balanced mixture, showing off some real brewing skill here. Toasted coconut come on with a caramelized sweetness immediately tempered by dark, bitter chocolate and roast barley. A touch of anise/licorice, milk chocolate, baking chocolate, ashy roast grain, vanilla sweets, brown sugar and the slightest hint of booze.
MF- Moderately heavy body with a creamy and puffy texture. The carbonation is at a medium level and the beer is slightly slick. Roasty bitter finish.
Just clean, well brewed and a super balanced flavor profile with the roast grains, coconut and cocoa all sharing the stage. Some real touch shown here as all of the main elements can easily get out of hand and there is a great interplay of sweetness and bitterness.
