Pours a slightly cloudy, deep amber, coppery coloration with a medium, foamy head. Smells of bready, caramel malt and hoppy citrus/tropical fruit notes of grapefruit and pineapple. Taste has some light, bready, caramel malt, but is totally dominated by strong hoppy citrus/tropical fruit notes of grapefruit and pineapple, with a hint of pine as well. Finishes with a medium bitterness and some pine lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
This is not a bad beer, but the the whole concept of a "dry-hopped Bock" is just ridiculous. What's the point of taking a style that is defined by a rich, complex malt balance and then dry-hopping the shit out it until it tastes just like a WC IPA? This is an enjoyable brew, but it's certainly NOT a Bock.
