Pours a slightly cloudy, deep, dark amber coloration with a large, frothy head. Smells of grainy, caramel malt, with just a hint of citrus coming through as well. Taste is dominated by slightly toasted, grainy, caramel malt and light hoppy accents of grapefruit and pine resin. Finishes with a medium bitterness and some grainy, caramel malt and light pine lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
This starts out quite malty, but develops a nice, hoppy and bitter kick in the finish. A nice, easy-drinking Red Lager with a decent balance, but not too much depth. Body/mouthfeel is a tad watery, but not too bad, really.
