Appears to be in an industrial warehouse. Nice vibe, lots of indoor plants, fairly large seating area. Six rotating beers on tap. Bartender was friendly, plenty of pinball machines in the main room as well. There’s a gaming store next door (board games) that was twice as crowded as the brewery. A nice spot to visit, very laid back and relaxed.

Big cactus brewery Roanoke va
This is a big fun places cross the st from the Big Lick Brewery
It’s a big industrial kind of room with lots of character, and some very pleasant outdoor spaces, young crowds, was enjoying themselves among all the plants and pin ball machines. Larger place, with communal and, smaller tables.

This places fill growlers and offers a bunch of their own brews on tap, including the tasty NEIPA that I enjoyed.

Pleasant staff and generally a worthy spot to visit for an interesting room and quality beer experience.

Even with limited number of taps, there was a decent array of styles offered by this brewery. On top of that, everything I had that they offered was quite tasty and fairly true to style. I would easily stop by again to sample more beers.

The place is fairly open and is of good size. Friends indicate it’s a pretty decent place to bring kids and the medium pseudo-communal-sized tables were set up separately from the more open kids areas to potentially not be an issue. There is a large outside parking lot/alley area that can alleviate crowding in warmer times.

Friendly service, similar to that I’ve seen at all the breweries in the area. Selection was limited to just over a half dozen beers, but the only style repeated was a sour (a savory and a fruited version were offered). The IPA was ok, but the Vienna was very good, if a bit bold. A flavored brown ale and robust Porter also seemed slightly mis-styled (the brown ale hid its flavor additions well enough to be a solid brown ale IMO).

So, this is 100% a place I’d return to, hopefully they continuing making a variety of quality brews that people want to drink.

Large cavernous brick building in downtown Roanoke. Very few beers on tap (5), but they were all excellent. They showed enough taps to have many more beers but the barkeep said they had just kicked a couple of kegs.

The bartender was friendly and knowledgeable of all of the offerings.

I was here on a Wednesday afternoon and there were only a couple of other patrons—the atmosphere is mellow.
