modern ipa as they call it, and i agree, super well refined, and even interesting for being built on citra and mosaic, the most overused combination in the game, but here somehow pulling some new nuance out of them, very drinkable and very good, an impressive offering at this humble taproom, my first time in! a shade richer than golden, not quite to apricot, clear enough but definitely not filtered i wouldnt think, pretty intricate inch plus of white head, fine retention, looks real good. nose here is the same as the taste, no fade at all from a to b. mosaic is obvious but its bright and its fresh and its hits early, like a hop product could be in play, cryo or something, not overdone, no green bite here at all, but the hop saturation is high and there is an almost candied intensity to it. the citra brings lemongrass and subtle oily character to it, a dankness is present, but also some deep and uncommon fruitiness for these varietals, almost a thiol boosted thing where green grape, fresh blueberry, and even pink bubblegum come out, not weird in the ferment, seems to be all from the hops. light and out of the way but adequate grain support, not really much of a factor here. off dry at the end, resinous on the palate, obviously exceedingly fresh, and very professionally done overall. i could have stayed awhile and done several pours of this, really tasty offering and distinct for using such common ingredients, bravo!
