Pours a cloudy, golden amber coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of biscuity, slightly caramelly malt and floral, citrus hops, with notes of grapefruit and tangerine. Taste is a decent balance of biscuity, slightly caramelly malt and rather floral, citrus hops, with notes of grapefruit and tangerine as well as just a slight, tropical accent of mango. Finishes with a light bitterness and some grapefruit and tangerine lingering in the aftertaste.
I always love a single-hopped IPA, which is why I thought it a little disappointing that that distinct citrus character of Citra doesn't seem all that well-defined here, with an overly floral hop presence dominating and only light and somewhat intangible citrus accents coming through, while it's also a bit too sweet and light-bodied for my personal taste and the ABV, lacking a good bitterness as well. Overall, it's a nice IPA that could be better balanced though and certainly doesn't live up to the absolute premium price of over 5€ for a small can. I enjoyed their Distorted West Coast IPA a lot more.
