Cheshire Brewing Co. "Bandersnatch"
$16 / 32 fl. oz. can dated 1/31 and sampled on 2/11/23
Notes via stream of consciousness: The Bandersnatch, eh? It's been a long time since I've read "Through The Looking Glass" (the illustrated version, of course!) but I recall it as a dangerous and toothy beast which is probably quite appropriate for this style of beer, and it's only dawned on me just now that - of course - the Cheshire Brewing Company has a Lewis Carrol theme to it! Sometimes I am an idiot, or at least an imbecile. It's poured a lightly hazy deep golden body beneath a finger's width of white foam. The aroma is sweetish, grainy, lightly bready, softly fruity with orchard fruits, mildly spicy and herbal, and clearly alcoholic. It's clean and the alcohol that's there isn't harsh which is half of the battle towards getting it right, isn't it? The flavor is rich and the alcohol is quite clear. It's quite apple-like with some pear as well, a touch of banana, and plenty of sweet and grainy/bready malt. It's bitter enough to keep it from becoming sweet and nicely balanced overall with a dry finish that's helped along by the alcohol. In the mouth it's medium bodied on the fuller end, and genly crisp and then smooth. In the end this is a pretty solid Belgian style tripel that makes a nice sipper.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
