I am now turning my attention to my Crowler backlog as it has become substantial enough to warrant such action. OTB releases (at least) one new beer a week & given my work schedule, a Crowler for The CANQuest (tm) is the only way for me to keep up. However, I CANnot always get to drink them as soon as I procure them so my backlog has been increasing. 8=( Time to play catch-up!
From the CAN: "9.26".
I Crack!ed open the vent & beCAN a very careful Glug as these CANtainers are given to unCANtrollable dribbling. I was successful in this endeavor, resulting in the formation of two-plus fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, deep-pink head that resembled freshly-spun cotton CANdy. Color was an oh-so-slightly-hazy Magenta (SRM = N/A). Nose was simply redolent with raspberries along with a light tartness, making my lips tingle in response. Mouthfeel was thin-to-medium, not watery, but not terribly removed from it, either. The taste was quite evocative of my late-paternal grandmother's raspberry bush in her backyard garden with a moderate tartness that the fruit would have imbued anyway, but enhanced by both the lemon zest & the brewing process. Mmm. Its CANparatively low ABV made for an easy-drinking beer throughout. Finish was lightly tart, not sour, and semi-dry as a result. Mmm. YMMV.
