Our little IPA is simple and yet very satisfying. A straightforward grain bill allows the layers of hop flavor and aroma to wash over you without wrecking your palate. Expect citrus, sweet resin and tropical fruit in this beauty.

Hops: Citra, Simcoe, Sabro; Malts: Pilsner; Yeast: Voss Kveik.

I am now turning my attention to my Crowler backlog as it has become substantial enough to warrant such action. OTB releases (at least) one new beer a week & given my work schedule, a Crowler for The CANQuest (tm) is the only way for me to keep up. However, I CANnot always get to drink them as soon as I procure them so my backlog has been increasing. 8=( Time to play catch-up!

From the CAN: "9.26".

I Crack!ed open the vent & beCAN a very careful Glug as these CANtainers are given to unCANtrollable dribbling. I am getting better about such things as it went off without a hitch this time, forming two-plus fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, eggshell-white head with decent retention. Color was a turbid, murky Golden-Amber (SRM = > 5, < 7) so perhaps a Style ChANge is needed to an NEIPA. Nose was very tropical, very mango-guava, which is what I have in my reefer right now! I bought some nectars at a local food outlet & they are really hitting the spot as a breakfast beverage. Perhaps they need a beer additive or vice versa ... Hmm. Mouthfeel was medium with a definite softness on the tongue. The taste was not entirely tropical, though, allowing a pine & grapefruit quality to elbow their way into the party. Yum! Finish was semi-dry to dry and quite pleasantly refreshing.

Here is my CANtinuing bugaboo with their beers - it could have been MUCH better, more flavorful, but they seem to be soft-pedalling in their early going. Lancaster, PA is cosmopolitan enough at this point (heck, we had a nationally-reported riot recently!) that customers are not going to send back a bigger version of this one. I have found many beers from them to be just "good" with a potential to be a whole lot better if they would just let go of the reigns. I liked the flavors and I enjoyed the way that they melded together, but I just felt unfulfilled throughout.

YMMV.
