The way the sun hits the brewhouse at 8am during mash-in is gorgeous. We wanted to share that feeling with you. Here is our liquid interpretation of the sunrise in Our Town. Fresh ginger and grapefruit juice give this IPA a bright, energetic charge. Enjoy the sunrise!
Hops: Citra; Malts: Pilsner, Wheat; Yeast: Voss Kviek.

I am now turning my attention to my Crowler backlog as it has become substantial enough to warrant such action. OTB releases (at least) one new beer a week & given my work schedule, a Crowler for The CANQuest (tm) is the only way for me to keep up. However, I CANnot always get to drink them as soon as I procure them so my backlog has been increasing. 8=( Time to play catch-up!
From the CAN: "10/9".
I Crack!ed open the vent & beCAN a very careful Glug as these CANtainers are given to unCANtrollable dribbling. I was mostly successful & my efforts netted me just under two fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, bone-white head with very good retention. Color was a cloudy, turbid Golden-Amber (SRM = > 5, < 7). Nose was really spicy with the ginger & grapefruit scents working really well in tandem to create a CANdle-worthy smell! Mouthfeel was medium-to-full, not quite creamy, but with a nice slickness on the tongue. The taste was both gingery and grapefruit at the same time as well as being individually discernible. Mmm. I will CANtion that this initial batch was intensely ginger & may be too much for the unaware. For the more discerning, this cried out for a seafood acCANponiment, like tuna sushi or something from Tony Wang's. Nothing on their current menu really applies, so my advice would be to get a Crowler & order in at-home fromGrubHub. Finish was dry, as any spiced beer should be expected to be. YMMV.
