Mellow English pub ale designed to be session-able yet complex. Hopped just enough to balance all of the chocolate and caramel malts. We taste cocoa and almond.

From a 16oz can. No date on the can.
This beer is a dark brown pouring beer. When held up to the light, faint amber hues shine through. There's a 2 finger tan head. Nice frothy look to the head and good retention. Some clingy looking lacing on the glass.
Nose has a good hint of roasted malts and chocolate.
Flavor has a good bit of flavor. I get a ton of roasted malts. I get a good chocolate hit. I get a good coffee like flavor. There's a slight bitterness on the backside.
The body is very full for a 3.8% beer. Very creamy feeling. Smooth, with a bit of bubbly on the tongue.
This is damn delicious. Pleasure to try.

Poured into a narrow pint glass: color is very dark brown, head is light tan with mixed bubbles, head presents one finger deep and leaves a wispy top.
Smell is roast, chocolate/cocoa, nuttiness.
Taste is more cocoa, light roast, some caramel, nuttiness - a pretty emphatic dark mild example for the strength.
Mouthfeel is low carbonation, low/moderate sweetness, low/limited bitterness - all to style.
Overall an excellent dark mild that leans on the malts to lead and even recreates some cask stylings with the low level carbonation.
