Aroma is dark malts, earthy and underlying pine. The flavor is dark malts, mild chocolate, grapefruit, citrus and a mix of slight earthiness and acidity/bitterness in the finish.

My wife picked up this brew at a local beer store. From a bottle, it is a black brew with a light brown, long-lived head. The aroma is mildly roasty, with a subdued hop spice smell. The taste is slightly dry with a notably roast flavor...not quite coffee. Thicker mouthfeel than expected...full and satisfying. Bitter, hoppy finish.
