Served in a tall pokal at the brewpub.
My adventure at the Onion begins here! It pours a clear deep garnet topped by a finger of light dirty ecru foam. The nose comprises light maple syrup, caramel, biscuits, light figs, and some red apple skin. The taste holds notes of caramel, wheat, rye bread, light cocoa, and a strange mild mentholated soap drifting in the background, all spectre-like and whatnot. It kinda ruined the whole experience. The body is a light medium, with a light carbonation and a smooth feel. Overall, the odd lightness and strange flavor really hamper this beer.
