Served in a snifter at the brewpub.
According to the menu, this brew was aged on oak for a short time. Right on. It pours a clear sunset amber topped by a finger of ecru micro-foam. The nose comprises caramel, buttery biscuits, light chocolate, and a hint of maple syrup. The taste follows pretty closely, adding notes of cedar, walnuts, cloves, and a dash of pepper. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a kinda watery feel. Overall, this was an okay beer, but it's a bit too thin, and the flavors never really melded together all that well.
