On tap at the brewpub, quick review from written notes.
Tawny dark brown, good coverage and lacing. Long lasting foam arround the edges with a bit of spotty lacing present.
Malty aroma, Lightly fruity.
English Maris Otter malt dominates the flavor, some supporting notes of fruity yeast. It has something of an astringent bite, generally light bodied with ample carbonation.
Would like to try on cask and get another opinion sometime.

Pours a dark brown color. 1/4 inch head of an off-white color. Good retention and great lacing. Smells of sweet malt, hint of hop, nut, and a hint of pale malt. Fits the style of an English Brown Ale. Mouth feel is smooth an clean, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of sweet malt, pale malt, nut, slight hop, and a hint of wheat. Overall, good appearance and feel, but it is too strongly sweet and not well blended.

Served in a shaker pint glass at the brewpub.
Well, even though the Sugar Bowl is shot, at least the bulls are winning... This brew pours a clear deep mahogany topped by finger of dirty ecru micro-foam. The nose comprises walnuts, light cedar, and very light toffee. The taste holds notes of toffee, walnuts, and light oak. The body is a light medium, with a light carbonation and a sorta watery feel. Overall, a nice nut brown, but a bit thin and airy for my liking. Still, it's pretty dern drinkable.
