Pint served up at the Wild Onion tap takeover at Village Tap.

Bright honey gold orange, a slightly dark color for a German pils, but this is a Bohemian pils, so it makes sense.

Light and clean aroma and flavors, some hints of toasted malts, biscuit, a light grassy hop bitterness and light and fresh feel, extremely drinkable. Crisp and quenching, finishes dry and never too sweet. Smooth and light bodied for the style. What's unique about it is the nuance of lightly toasted pils malt and clean grassy hops, and it's easy drinkability.

This was the only Wild Onion beer I had a second pour of during the tap takeover. Seems like a good candidate for canning as a summer seasonal...

Served in a pokal at the brewpub.

This seemed the be the popular new brew at the brewpub today, with at least three bar denizens partaking in its lightness. It pours a clear lightly pale straw topped by a half-finger of white foam. The nose comprises wheat, light florals, and a very faint touch of orange peel. The taste doesn't change much of anything from this plan, though a nice undercurrent of minerals flows in, blending nicely with everything else. Normally, I think this would come off as hard water to my tongue, but it seems like it's a good minerality here. Hard to explain, just take my word that it works in this case. The body is quite light, with a light moderate carbonation and a crisp, dry finish. Overall, I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this simple pils. It's gotta be one of the cleanest, crispest pilsners I've had in a while. Good times.
