Served in a shaker pint glass at the brewpub.
Entertaining time watching this beer get poured... Anyway, it pours a solid black-brown topped by a finger-and-a-half of dark-leaning sandstone foam. Lovely. The nose comprises lots o' coffee, light roasted malts, light toasted oats, and light chocolate. The taste is pretty much more of the same: It's all kinda like the ancillary flavors (the roast, the oats, and the chocolate) blend together to collectively compliment the coffee at different times. Trust me on this one, it all works pretty well. The body is a seemingly floating medium, with a rather light carbonation and a ridiculously smooth feel. Overall, a very tasty coffee oatmeal stout that really embraces the cask-conditioning very well. Possibly the best thing I've yet had from this brewpub.
