Modeled after amber ale served in Dusseldorf, Germany brewpubs, this altbier has a bready malt balanced with medium bitterness and a lightly fruity yeast profile. Coming in at 5.3% abv, a healthy dose of zesty Sterling hops balance the fruity malt base but don’t overpower it.

p- deep amber; small slightly off-white head; quick recession; nice color - 4
n- medium-bold; grassy with some sweet toasted malts for backing; gets bolder and more grainy as warms - 3.75
t- a combination of bready malt, nuttiness, and grassy hops, with a pleasant hoppy bite in the finish - 4
mf- medium-bodied with medium - 3.75
o- a pleasant, drinkable amber; not super interesting, but nicely-crafted nonetheless - 3.75
