Aged 12 months on neutral oak wine barrels, with Seedling Farms peaches and roasted peach pits added. Dry hopped with Southern Passion.
Pours a saturated hazy orange, there appears to be a lot of suspended sediment kicked up from the carbonation, which settles in a striated pattern. Ample foam billows above the rim and quickly dwindles away. Foam builds up to a near gusher in the bottle, so have a glass ready.
Smells like peach vinegar at first, but as it warms the ripe fruit emerges. Minor oak and funk present in the aroma also.
Taste is acetic with a lot of harsh, vinegary acetic acid, which exceeds my personal threshold these days. The peach flavor is nice, the fruit is ripe and juicy. A little bit of dry oak in the aftertaste. Overall it’s a bit pricey at $18/375mL and too vinegar-forward for me to revisit, but it has some positive characteristics as well. Clean up the acetic acid and i'll give it another go.
