Served from the can in a Lagunitas mason jar.
That GL in the name stands for galangal and lime, the additives to this wit. Anyway, this stuff pours a partly cloudy auburn topped by a finger of lightly off-cream foam. The nose comprises lime zest, light cracked wheat, and a pinch of coriander. The taste brings in more of the same, along with a prevailing gale of galangal bitterness, something I was hoping would be relegated to the background, but I guess that was pretty foolish of me, wasn't it? The body is a hefty light, with a light moderate carbonation and a liquid feel. Overall, if you dig what galangal puts down (and lime, I suppose), you will have a better time with this beer than I did. As it stands, it's an otherwise fine wit, one that slides differently than most, which is fun, but I just couldn't get into it.
