Served from the can in a Lagunitas mason jar.

Don't know anything about this malty assam tea, but I'm down to learn a thing or two in beer form. This stuff pours a mostly clear sunset bras topped by a finger of lightly off-white foam. The nose comprises mild lemon zest, sweet flowers, light grass, cardamom, and what may or may not be sweet tea (admittedly, this may be psychosomatic). The taste certainly leans in the direction of some sort of black tea, with some rather mild hints of lemon peel and cardamom sprinkled into the background. It's an interesting flavor, almost like a dunkel pils, if that makes sense. The body is a rather light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a fluid feel. Overall, a pretty good dunkel pils, a unique bit of beer I'm glad was birthed into existence. I'm not sure if I could consider it an everyday drinker or anything, but it's a delightful change of pace.
