If there’s a more forgotten style of beer than lichtenhainer, we’d love to see it. This refreshing, unfiltered tart lager is brewed with local pilsner malt and a combo of peach and cherry wood-smoked wheat for a gentle wisp of smoke on the nose and palate. A favorite of our brew staff, and for good reason.

This beer is labeled by the brewery as a Lichtenhainer beer - a smoked, slightly tart pale lager. Fairly unique and refreshing. Poured from a crowler bought at the brewery the same day. Seemed a bit flat. Clear yellow color with little head or lacing. Slightly tart lemon smell and taste. Smoked flavor was very subdued. It was hard to formulate an opinion and wish I had it straight from tap. Pleasant beer but a bit boring.
