Can says riwaka, strata and citra. It tastes like 9%, heavy and assertive. Probably too much for me. The can also declares that it is “not a triple” but I don’t know what that means because it sure feels a notch above a double IPA in terms of heft, alcohol and drinkability. Some mixed fruit bubblegum maybe passionfruit it’s jumping out (just googled riwaka hops profile and can confirm…passionfruit). It kind of reminds me of some 1980s mysterious fruit juice or bubblegum flavor just an ambiguous tropical note, one part piña colada, another part Bubblicious. This would probably be better enjoyed split into two tulip glasses and shared rather than greedily poured into one nonic pint as I have done… because this is no session beer.
