Version 5
This is the fifth version of our love letter to the west coast beer scene. Our take on the traditional west coast hazy IPA. Tropical fruit with hints of passion fruit and cantaloupe. A highly attenuating yeast brings out citrus and pear notes with no phenolics.

Had Hot Pink Racecar poured from pint can, no date but bottom stamped "NOT YOUR DADS BEER," carried from Cali. by my little bro., into nonic pint.
Pours cloudy but bright orange-gold, with huge off-white head, with good retention, but leaving very little lace. Aroma off pour nicely malty, then sharp tropical, sweet melon and stone fruits, with some herbals, and then mild spice (wheat?) aroma joins as warms. Begins sweet and sharply fruity, then melon and dank notes carry over notable malt into a melon vibe, before a little hop bite and more (wheat?) spice dry up the non-bitter finish, although the alcohol heat does build a bit.
This was probably "Version 4" of this beer, as "Cinco" or "Version 5" is currently (as of Aug. 29, 2022) on tap at the S27 taproom, and was not canned. Hugely aromatic, tropical, spicy, dank, a bit malty, and balanced (is that a disapproved value judgment now?), this is one of the more interesting new IPAs I've recently had.
