Unique label dates with notches. Best before the 12th day in July. There’s no year so clearly their beers are meant to be consumed fresh and brewed often. Picked up a mixed case from the brewery during a Bamberg trip and happy to see this available in bottles as they had their Lagerbier and Export on draft and I had a glass of each in the Biergarten. Hefe is still one of my least favorite styles but I’ve been trying so many great ones in Germany that I’m starting to change my mind. This is exceptional. You can taste the time and craft in the recipe. Pours super cloudy and thick. Typical aromas and flavors but amplified. Clove and spice profile is off the charts. What a special beer. Has the rich, delicious feel and finish that I’ve discovered is what’s so special about Zehendner/Monchsambacher.

From the classic German half-liter bottle, it poured a hazy amber with a nice head. Classic German wheat beer scent hits the nose and crosses the tongue. Enjoyable taste!
