Atlantic City Brewing Co. "Diving Horse Juicy Pale Ale"
16 fl. oz. can without production codes or freshness dating
$4.49 @ Total Wine & More, Cherry Hill, NJ
Notes via stream of consciousness: The label reads "Atlantic City Brewing CO. located in Atlantic City, NJ" but that doesn't say anything about where it was brewed. I'm guessing but I'd bet that this is still brewed by Flying Fish in Somerdale, NJ. It's poured a cloudy golden body beneath a full head of rocky off-white foam - so far, so good! The aroma is that of an orange blossom. It's citrusy and floral but unfortunately not really that strong. I like it though; it's pleasant and welcoming. On to the taste... it's juicy, but not too juicy. It's got orange, and I'm going to say mango, a touch of pine, dull grapefruit, and maybe even a little bit of berry. I can see there being some Mosaic hops in here, and definitely Citra, but nothing is really bright or clear. It definitely has a citrus rind thing going on with some mineral character. The bitterness is median leaning moderate, and the malt is sweetish but also slightly acidic. It's balanced at least. It all feels a little empty - not enough hops, not a rich enough malt, and I think, a little limited in body as well. It is a "pale ale" though, and not an "IPA" so keep that in mind. Hmmm... perhaps for a juicy pale ale it's a little too bitter? Looking back at ;east the head held up well, and it has left some nice lacing.

Pale with a hazy look and taste, not bad but prefer their Hazy IPA.
