THE CATS ARE COMING! THE CATS ARE COMING! These giant furballs from space are thirsty for new Zealand hops and are tearing apart the city like a ball of yarn dipped in catnip. This single hazy has a smooth mouthfeel and low bitterness that galactic-loads of Nelson & Nectaron hop flavor shine like the distant galaxy from where the cats came.

Draft pour at Bottlecraft (The Hangar @ LBX) - about 22m from the Brewery.
This is the first beer I’ve had from Paperback, and I enjoyed it. I would say this is a pleaser for those who like an interesting/complex citrus-fwd West Coast Hazy and are okay with a decent amount of bitterness to balance them.
Nice bright citrus/tropical fruit notes show up on the front; the hops show up in the middle and give partial way to a pleasant, moderate amount of bitterness and a bit more fruit on the back. I personally liked the flavor progression.
Beautiful appearance - golden orange with a lacy head. Smell: I actually didn’t get a distinct smell; this one hit my nose pretty neutrally. (It didn’t smell nearly as good as it tastes, but it didn’t smell bad either.)

Tall can with some. Numbers on the bottom tha make no sense to me.
Typical hazed NEIPA looking pour. Under a nice looking frothy and rocky cap…leaves a bunch of thick sheets of lacing.
Ripe tropical sniff, leads to more of the same on the palate….ripe mango, pineapple, apricots and a bit of a warming quality in the back of the mouth. ….
