Yet again, its that time again, where we contribute shovel ready jobs in the form of adding a beer to Next Glass. But wait, there's more, Next Glass also receives its first review of said beer here. Respect Next Glass!
This beer was consumed at the 24th annual Bistro double ipa festival. Glorious. Pours golden with a hint of amber to it. 1/4" white head. I couldn't discern the hops used. Smelled just as malty as it was hoppy, mostly bittering hops I'd surmise. Go with Simcoe and El Dorado as a guess.
Taste imparts a hammer of that pine and rind bitterness. Light citric impression beyond mere grapefruit rind makes me think Citra could be here as well. I'm not the biggest fan of Paperback, their best stuff is usually their label art, but being from a 5 gal keg, you don't really get the same interest. It did a decent job on hiding the alcohol, which was slightly higher than most of the dipas at the festival. Thanks again Bistro for all the events over the years.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
