Light gold pour, a little lacing
Toasted malt, leathery, a little tangy, nicely balanced bitterness.
A refreshing and enjoyable Pilsner.

Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is mostly of malts. Taste is malts, grassy hops are in abundance. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is an easy drinking and pretty good beer.

Big Dog Craft Brewing "Gold Rush"
$2.50/5 oz. on tap at the brewery on 24 May 2022
Notes: Listed as an "American Pilsner" - "This crisp refreshing lager is brewed with the finest American Pilsner and Carapils malt." No mention of American hops, or hops at all. 24 IBU.
Look: Hazy straw gold body beneath a short head of bright white. Better than average head retention and lacing.
Smell: Malty, grainy, sweet ~ no hops.
Taste: The flavor follows the aroma with some added herbal hops and a firm bitterness. Sweetish malt lingers in the finish.
Feel: Medium bodied and crisp.
Overall: Not a bad lager as it's clean but it is a bit out of balance and sweetish.
