Pours a cloudy, deep amber coloration with a medium, fluffy, lasting head. Smells of biscuity, slightly caramelly malt and vague citrus hops, with notes of tangerine and some herbal, accents. Taste is a great balance of biscuity, slightly caramelly malt and bitter, herbal and somewhat resinous and spicy hops, with some fruity notes of tangerine, honeydew melon and red berries, as well as hints of black pepper and pine. Finishes with a medium bitterness and some tangerine, melon and pine lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.

This is a bit of an old school IPA with a certain East Coast Vibe and a slight German twist thanks to the Huell Melon hops bringing some honeydew and red berry accents to the flavour profile here in addition the citrussy, herbal and resinous notes. While this feels a little sweet at first, that's quickly kept in check by a good bitterness in the finish, while there's also a great overall balance of fruity and herbal, spicy notes to this, although the latter are a bit more dominant here. Perhaps not quite as fruity as some would like, and just a bit too sweet for my personal taste, but still a very nice and enjoyable German East Coast IPA in its own right.
