Our home is located in the Old Mill downtown, and we wanted a beer that was as much an institution as the building that holds us. Old Mill Light is a go to lager, brewed with the finest pilsner malt and blue corn. Representative of the pride we take in every beer, this one is lagered for over a month before it hits your glass. Celebrating the old and new, we use the traditional Saaz and the Vista, the latest hop from the USDA public breeding program. An utterly drinkable light lager, with notes of peach skin, light floral, white bread sweetness, a hit of corn nuttiness, and finishing bright with a carbonated prickle on the tongue. Only the best, for the best place on earth. Cheers!

Revisited January 07th, 2024 for the BA Online American Adjunct Lager tasting

Medium gold colored body, clear and sparkly; sparse carbonation; decent head thickness, frothy and sticky, tiny gobs of foam adhere to the glass. Bright, crisp aroma; light honey and mild fruity esters; medium-light toasted malt. Excellent taste; light malt with a mild grain sweetness; moderate hop bitterness; clean; delicate herbal spiciness. Medium body; crisp with a light, cutting dryness offsetting the residual sugars.

While not as mind-blowing as my initial assessment last year, for a low ABV beer made with blue corn, this is still a hell of a beverage.

Clear, light gold body; dense carbonation; thick head, white, creamy, sculpted. Initial scent of fruity esters then a fine, light cereal grain note. Outstanding toasted grain and biscuit-like taste; a dab of honey; light to moderate hop bitterness. Medium body; smooth and rich on the palate; delicate sweetness complemented with a very subtle dryness.

This is an incredible light lager with standout flavor and mouthfeel for the style.

Pouring temperature: 39 °F; canning info: n/a (purchased 9/7/23)
