Single Barrel Barleywine

This English barleywine spent over 18 months inside an Old Elk Wheated Bourbon barrel, extracting an out of this world character from the wood. This resulted in a fantastically balanced barleywine with a raisinette-like fruitiness, creamy caramel, hint of hot chocolate, and a soft vanillin sweetness to balance the wood tannin. All that time in the barrel gave us an inky, space black color, with just about as astronomical of an ABV at 14%.
