This Imperial Stout was aged for 13 months in Prichard's Double Chocolate bourbon barrels. Then, to reinforce the chocolate flavor, we added copious amounts of Cacao Nibs from Ghana & Haiti.

Poured a black body with minimal head and an aroma that is most like dark cocoa and also like a port wine with some dark fruits like raisins and prunes. Medium to heavy body, slight stickiness with a residual chocolate and fig-like sweetness that comes across a sweet and boozy port wine, as I also get notes of prune and black cherries, and then the beer has a heated finish.
