There's good and there's not as good things about emptying a pint can's entire contents into a clear glass liter mug. First, the not so charming color of the brew is dull and hazy light apricot-amber, maybe a little more yellow in hue. But, the just-off-white head is reasonable, even at room temperature. As with many modern American Hazy IPAs, the aroma is pleasantly hoppy, mainly with citrusy notes, but superficially sweet, without any character coming from the starches. The citrus bite is there from the initial tasting. As a positive, it expands to bring some piney notes before it recedes into a pleasantly dry finish. However, the overall taste is one-sided. Other than adding some non-dimensionable sweetness, there's nothing else the starches contribute to the taste. The mouthfeel is about what could be expected from a beer that leaves little glass lacing. Overall, it's an unoffesively potent modern AIPA that can be enjoyed and easily forgotten.
