Pours a deep amber colour with a red hue at the top and bronze at the bottom as you hold it up. Not too much head. Light lacing. Malt, prunes, toffee and caramel dominate both flavours (includes sweet overtones) and aroma. Carbonation elevated. Not my favourite style of beer but it satisfies the profile of the style which reflects my rating.

Bottle: Poured a translucid copper color ale with a nice off-white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of dry caramelized malt notes with clean cereal notes is quite enticing. Taste is also a mix of dry caramelized malt notes with light residual sugar notes with some clean cereal notes. Body is a bit thin for style with good carbonation. Easy drinking version of the style but well balanced overall.

Quite sweet ( probably in order to boost the alcohol ) and flavourless. Also the bottle I had was flat. With an IBU of18 it doesn't have much character. So it best quality is the 7.5% abv. Boreale makes some nice beers but this one is not one of them.
