This New England IPA goes down just like a misty spring morning. Slowly. First you admire its light yellow colour, its beautiful foam collar. You anticipate the subtle, juicy, sweet flavours. You can smell the tangerine, tropical fruit and apricot aromas stirring amongst the rising notes of hops. You crave its smooth texture and slight bitterness. But like all good things that deserve to be savoured, you wait just a little longer. Just a bit. Just enough to feast your eyes.

From a can stamped 2021 Al 22. Sampled Nov. 4, 2021.
Hazy, pulpy looking amber-yellow pour with a lasting white head. Opaque. It looks correct.
Aroma of melon, cantaloupe, tropical fruit, maybe a touch of garden spice, and white bread crust.
The mouthfeel is around medium.
The taste is sweet for a second and then all those tropical and melon-like hop characteristics roll in up to the finish. But the finish tends to be slightly spice and mildly harsh.

Picked this up a few weeks back at The Bottle King in Wayne, having never had or seen anything from Brasseurs Du Nord before. I know that IPA's are pretty common in these parts as all of the major breweries have a whole array of them, but I really enjoyed this one and how balanced and nuanced it was, down to the last sip!
Not the best of pours to this but it was sufficient and thankfully, the least favorite attribute of this beer. Deep goldenrod and hazy, there was plenty of head to top this off as it slowly and evenly settled down. Like the nearly nonexistent lacing, it could have stuck around for the duration of my session as the suds were nowhere to be seen once I sipped this. Thankfully, the aroma and taste more than made up for that as there was a lot of unpack here. Loads of deep apricot, turbid peach and tropical fruits, tangerine, goose berry, and dank forest in the nose as the taste was just as deep, varied, and lovely throughout. If a fruit cocktail salad had hops, pepper, berry juice, and a hint of woody grape mixed in with it, this would be the end result as it was equally smooth, slick, and sticky while being just balanced enough and light on the palate to grab my interest and never quite let go.
Sure, this was an IPA and sure, there was booze here but the moderate amount of that complemented everything else wonderfully as I just felt a tad of it and warmed up a notch or two right before finishing this off. 2021 was written on the bottom of the can but the month and day had to be part of a code that I didn't understand as it was tough to figure this beer's age out. No matter - I really enjoyed this as the mountainous label reminded me of many of the National Parks that I visited this past summer. It's always an unexpected joy to find an IPA that's unlike others that flood retail shelves and this certainly fit that bill as this easily deserved another go-around. Thankfully, I have two more cans here as I can't wait to crack them open and smile once again. Grab this if you come across it!

This one pours a very hazy golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like peach, melon, grapefruit, lemon, and piney hops.
This is pretty much spot-on for what I want out of IPAs these days. There's a pleasant spicy and piney bitterness, with a very juicy hop character - lemon candy. lime, melon, juicy peach, etc, etc.
This is medium bodied, creamy and juicy, with a nice bite on the back end.
Both of the IPAs that I've had from this brewery have been really tasty. I only see them on the shelves in Vermont, so I now know to keep an eye out.

16 oz can from Evan, into Prairie Rastal.
Super juicy look, very thick and creamy and light blonde in color. Tall creamy head of 3 fingers, recedes slowly, destroys said glass.
Aroma of wet evergreen in BC, soaking peach and apricot, some grapefruit, some raspberry, some orange.
Flavor is equal parts bitter and juicy. Wonderful pine notes (not abrasive) intertwine with lemon peel and slight grapefruit juice, adding in a nip of woodsy sawdust and ending on a floral note. Slight grass creeps up after the finish.
Feel is juicy, juicy, juicy, with some soft mild creaminess and moderately aggressive carbonation. Alcohol heat is kept to a minimum. Resins and juice finish this one out.
Overall, an impressive beer shared by my friend who had similar sentiments when he cracked his for the first time. Very nice stuff coming out of this Canadian brewery. Canada may be acting like a godless fascist dictatorship, but hopefully we will still get some of these great brews down here before full-force communism kicks in (we're not far behind, I'm afraid - get informed).

A-Vibrant orange juice colour, with a wonderful strong haze. Ring of white head lingers around the glass
S-Lovey bouquet of tropical fruits with a hint of apricot
M-Thick, luscious mouthfeel with lower end carbonation and a slightly peppery effervescence. Juicy experience full on.
T-Grape fruit flavour, highlighted by a tropical fruit cocktail undertone. The upfront sweetness is balanced quickly by a smooth citrus pith bitterness.
O-This is a wonderful NEIPA iteration. The can I had was packaged a week ago, and exploded with fresh happy elements. There is definitely an element of assertiveness from the ample hops and peppery kickback.
