I brought a can of this beer off the single shelf at the brewery. It poured a clear rich amber with off white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had grain and bock malt notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bright bock malt base with grain and finishing hop presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a good beer.

From the 16 oz can in a snifter via the brewery, bought while hanging out with
Bluejacket74 and Laura. This solid little bock pours a very nice medium dark
ruby tinged brown with a fantastic head of off white foam that settles to a thick ring,
thin dusty layer, and sports some excellent lacing. Nose of toasted malts, subtle
breaded malts, faint fruit notes, and subtle herbal hop elements. Flavors expand on the
nose with toasted breaded malts, brown sugars, subtle peach, and light herbal elements
amongst subtle floral hops. Mouth feel is medium light, light soft carbonation, and a
balanced finish that overall is a touch on the watery side.

Solid brew, true to style, but needs better body.

Location of this brewery is fantastic by the way and was there for
Oktoberfest. Nice!

Cheers

I had another one of these a two weeks ago when they were purchased by my son-in-law at their pub in Columbus. It was very good. The sample I have before me today is not so good - it did not transport well. Too bad.

It's a pretty light brown and the one I had earlier had nice fizz - this one does not. The head helped bring out the aroma which is very German to me (OK, German enough - I am a first generation German-American). The whole experience was cool (on the original tasting) - a bock that isn't too far from the old school Americanized ones yet is much more authentic. It was accessible.

Recommended. I hope to taste more. We may be headed there soon. Too bad my second can did not survive two weeks.
