Copper colored, with toasty sweet flavors of high dried and crystal malt. The world’s best pizza beer.

a decent vienna lager, if lacking the richness the best examples of the style have, and i dont mean to confuse sweetness with richness, i am happy to have a nice drier take on the style, which this is, but its missing the body and fullness that make the great ones great, it feels thin to me, despite the flavor being good, and so it feels a little less complete and satisfying than it could, but not a bad beer either, real easygoing, would probably even appeal to a non craft drinker. pretty nice deep copper color on this, short but airy head, decent clarity, looks the part for the style. some nuttiness to the nose and the taste, this really isnt hurting for grain character, which is cool, soft pretzel, almond, toast, light toffee, and definite european lager yeast, fairly professionally deployed, a more tidy ferment here than in some of their other beers i had, but still a slight astringency to it that i think contributes to the feeling of thinness it has. good minerality at its core, very obviously a vienna lager, but its almost watery feeling to me, despite the flavor, good carbonation but its not quite right on the palate and that knocks the whole thing down a half step for me. still, a very drinkable take on the style due to its lightness, and i think that will appeal to some. probably better in a salty or savory food context, on its own it seems just slightly incomplete, but cool to have a couple of beers from this operation in close proximity...

Taster at taproom. Amber body with small off-white head. Toasty malts and caramel keep this on style, coupled with a nice slick mouthfeel and mild sweetness. Solid.
