About the darkest red before it gets to be totally brown. A wisp of dark foam in the Orval chalice. Bright and spritzy on the tongue. Some dark grainy flavors with a little acidity, which even hints at sourness in the aftertaste. Grainy aroma with some herbal hops. This is pretty much the standard Red Ale we used to see at every brewpub. This one is more malty perhaps, and definitely on the sweet side for the style. Helps the drinkability, I think. From the 16 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station. Dated 01/14/22.

Looks like a brown ale or even a lighter stout. Very meh across the board.
