Poured into a Seattle Beer Week glass. Pours a lightly hazy, medium golden amber with a two finger white head with great retention and solid lacing. Aroma of pale malt, piney hops, pine, mild citrus and earthy winter spices. Flavor is biscuit malt, citrus and piney hops, grapefruit, pine, Mediterranean spices, particularly sage. Medium bodied with moderate creaminess; nice mouth feel. An old fashioned West Coast style IPA with light English influence of biscuit malt. The hop profile is straightforward; classic Chinook hops, which are quite pleasant on their own. Not too complex, but I could sip on this all night.
