32oz crowler dated 7/9/21 poured into a pint glass on 7/10/21.
Pours 1" of creamy white/tan head. Big bubbles in the foam. A slightly translucent amber color.
Aromas of roasted malts: caramel, toffee, and almond.
Flavor emphasizes caramel sweetness, with a slight bitterness in the finish.
Mouthfeel is smooth with just a bit of effervescence. Not astringent or dry, but refreshing.
A delicious beer that is true to the Anchor Steam style. Reminds me of Georgetown Bob's Brown Ale. Very good.
