It was a pleasant surprise to see this on the tap list when I recently visited the brewery. A strong ale is not typical for Texas breweries this time of year. This I would say is a “light” strong ale. It has a refreshing fruity background along with the toffee and caramel standards for this style.
I had this from a crowler purchased the previous day at the brewery. Reddish golden brown color with decent head and good lacing. Pleasant flavor profile. I would get this beer again anytime of year. This beer would benefit greatly from some barrel aging.
