Reviewing after the fact, but one of the better BBA Rye wines I have had. A deft hand with the barrel character so you get just a hint of bourbon, not in your face. Well done

This beer was a pleasant surprise. I never have had a rye wine before and I enjoyed this beer very muck.
First it is a beautiful beer. It pours a deep mahogany color with a creamy beige head and has excellent curtain lacing. Sweet, slightly pepper spice smell and taste. Toffee, dark sweet cherries, vanilla. Wonderfully complex. Pleasantly warm and boozy with a smooth rich feel. If I can, I will go back for more next week.
