I struggled with how to rate this. It reminded me more of a Czech dark lager than a Schwarzbier. It's a really good beer, but more malty and less roasty than I was expecting. Color is decidedly more brown than black.
I'd rate this lower as a Schwarzbier, but it's really good so I want to give credit where it's due.
