Harvest Gap Brewery

Located in the rolling hills North of purcellville, on the way into West Virginia. It's quite a few of these little farm breweries up here, so it makes for a really nice drive. Big open field setting, huge beer garden with a performance stage. Small tap room, rustic interior, and I noticed they have an event space in the back. They have room for lots and lots of people. The service is great, fast and courteous. I enjoyed all of the beers, they all exceeded my expectations. Quite a lovely view from up here as well.

Huge outdoor area. Beer was good. Food is decent. Live music. Has a playground and plenty of area for kids to run around.

 

A moderately small place that seems to attract a crowd. The two beers we tried were pretty decent, the service was good enough, though we only had to grab beer from the filling station once. For a smaller farm brewery, they had a decent variety of beers (about but no more than a dozen on tap).

So as for vibe, it might depend on what you are looking for: a serious brewery operation? probably not your spot; a chill place with a bit of fun (they had a decent band the day we were there), perhaps this will work for you.

Service is at a single small bar with 2-3 registers and various people helping to pour the beers. There is a modest amount of indoor seating, but this "destination brewery" seems more a good weather outdoor spot. We might stop by again for a better assessment here, but it was a fun place to hit in part due to the live entertainment.
