Picked this up a while ago when I was last up in Cooperstown to see the Hall of Fame. Canned on 7/03/18, this held up well and was one of the few beers from this neck of the woods that reminded me of a West Coast IPA. It had the hops, the booze, and the body to be classified (in my book) as one, and was a slow sipper from the get-go!
The pour to this was decent - a dark almond hue with a bit of light seeping through with a sufficient head topping it off. Plenty of soapy lacing left behind with hints of rings visible among the sheets. Heavy citrus, orange blossom honey, dank and earthy hops, and caramel in the nose as the malt came out more in the taste. Pine and hop burn entered the mix as I sipped it with a sticky, oily mouthfeel lingering for the duration. Filling like bread, the body combined with the hops had me feeling like I had dinner once I finished this off.
Enough booze was in this as this almost felt like a Barleywine. That wasn't obviously the case but one can was enough to had me feeling full. Appropriate that this had a hop on the can, though this felt like something I would have raved about 10 or 15 years ago when I first got into the beer scene. Not a bad brew as I loved the leathery undertone that this had!

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a one pint can on November 9, 2018. West coast style double IPA brewed with Cascade, Citra, Chinook, Simcoe and Amarillo hops.

Looks hazy and unfiltered amber with some floaties, and a large rocky white head. Very good retention, and tons of sticky lacing.
The aroma is subtle; grapefruit, caramel, and pine.
The aroma is a smack of grapefruit peel and orange zest with hints of mango, well balanced with a thick malt backbone of bread crust, caramel, and toffee. Big, well-rounded and sweet, but not cloying. More pine bitterness on the finish and leaves a lingering resinous spice on the palate.
The feel is thick and creamy, well-carbonated, resinous and oily. Finishes sticky and bitter.
Overall, a solid West Coast DIPA. I wish it was fresher, but it still tastes good.
